Peter Hartlaub is a writer at the SF Chronicle who focuses mostly on Bay Area events.
Here's a nice tweet from him pushing the WBB team.
He also gives a shout out to Marisa Ingemi who the Chron hired this year to report specifically on women's sports.
The SF Chronicle story itself is behind a paywall. There are several quotes from Brink and a couple of mentions how her 3-pointer at the end of the 3rd quarter to cut Tennessee's lead to 5 was when the momentum shifted:

I'm so happy they have this new reported focused on women's sports. You can really see a difference in the coverage, so much more re women's teams, covering all the Bay Area teams, and not just basketball, but also soccer and volleyball well. Seems to be more re Stanford than on others, but she's not really missing any local schools. This might help with the Bay Area snagging a WNBA or NSWL expansion team.
Here's the SF Chron article about the Tennessee game -- should not be behind a paywall. I'll post this in the Tennessee game thread as well.

It's almost as good as the mid-90s coverage, but with color photos!
Definitely worth supporting a local paper (and they have really good deals quite often).

Totally agree! You can get a digital subscription, or a print one (which includes the digital at no extra cost -- and at least for now, is allowing sharing of digital content)
