This one is pretty surprising, a Memphis player cold cocks a Bowling Green player in the face during the post game handshakes.

Jamirah Shutes, the Memphis player who sucker-punched Louisville's Elissa Brett, was criminally charged with assault after the game. During the game, Shutes elbowed Brett hard.

It was not appropriate and seems to being dealt with.
However, this incident is news because it isn’t common. I wouldn’t extrapolate this one impulsive outburst as much as you have.
After all, this individual could go on to be a WNBA star and later require the intervention of POTUS.

T'was a reference to the other discussions of lack of civility we've been having. . . .
On the morning news this morning, there was a segment on a car that drove off the San Mateo Bridge and into the Bay. They cut to a reporter on the scene, and the anchor asks "First and foremost, what is the impact on the traffic". Sheesh. Then as it turns out, the car didn't drive off the bridge and into the Bay, but instead ran off the road leading to the bridge and into on of the salt ponds, taking out a bunch of fence. Finally we are told that the driver of the vintage Mercury had a medical issue of some sort that caused the crash. I don't recall a mention of the drivers condition.
Forget lack of civility, how about lack of humanity. . .. .

Not to mention lack of IQ…

During this season, several of us have commented on rough play in WBB. This incident, while extreme, is very much in that vein.
