Field hockey had an exciting overtime win against Michigan State in Lansing yesterday.  The record doesn't show that MSU has a particularly good team (12-13 over the last two years, excluding this year), but finding a way on the road has to count for something on Stanford's behalf.  

Congratulations to the team for the endowment!  I think the athletic department has let the sports know that everyone should be a little more self-sufficient in light of imminent budget-tightening from reduced ACC conference revenue sharing.  Glad to see alumni donors stepping up to support their team.
