Andre Braugher - 2006alum - 12-12-2023
Just died suddenly at age 61 after a brief illness. Best known for Homicide and Brooklyn Nine Nine, but I didn't realize he was also a Stanford grad. What a loss of a supremely talented actor. May Captain Holt rest in peace and amuse the heavens as much as he amused us down on earth.

I learned that today as well. So sad. He brought a lot of joy to a lot of people, and it’s hard to believe he’s gone.

I am familiar with Andre Braugher through Brooklyn 99, which is my family’s favorite TV show — we stream it when we have time for an episode together. Amazing actor. So sad he is gone.

I liked him in "Glory", the Civil War movie. It was one of his first performances.
He got the role as the intellectual in the regiment, supposedly because he had gone to Stanford.

Sad to hear. Such news tends to scare the you know what out of me since I graduated more than 20 years before he did. Exact date is highly classified.

He was great on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".
And in "Duets" for that matter. Such a presence, and a voice.
Such a loss.
