MBB: USC at Stanford - skip75 - 02-10-2024

The up-and-down team is in their up cycle (at least for the 1st half).  Up at halftime 55-26.  Shooting the lights out, especially from 3.  Andrew Luck is the honorary captain tonight.  He must have shared the secret about kicking Trojan a**.

let's not forget when USC came from 21 points down before when Stanford had Tyrell Terry in 2020.

Stanford set team 3-point receord. 18 so far.

Stanford will move into a tie for 5th place with Colorado with a 99-68 victory.

Alright NOW. Always immensely entertaining to humiliate USC.

I'd be more overjoyed if U$C weren't winning only 40 percent of their games this season, with a three-digit NET ranking. Truly appalling how far some of the one-proud Pac-12 schools have fallen. I'm not at all joking when I say Yale is considerably better ranked than any of Stanford, UCLA or U$C. Given that Yale can't even buy their players the way collectives at the other three can, there's absolutely no excuse for such pitiful performances.

I’d think all Stanford fans would be happy with USC losing their last PAC-12 game at Stanford.
The fans at a sold out Maples were.

More than that, USC was swept in the Bay area

Apparently, Maxime was fired up by the crowd and reciprocated. I’m very glad he got to experience how things could be.

Even the walk-on former manager got a basket.

Some games this team looks so good. Makes the other days all the more frustrating.

Exactly
The feelgoodedness of this standout beatdown win should compensate for a month's worth of losses, and emotionally it does.
However, statistically, and towards gaining entrance to the Dance, it simply offsets the earlier disappointing loss to UCLA.
And continuing a trend of splitting home games in the Pac-12 does not bode well for a regular-season ending invitation to anywhere, except to maybe a time-share sales dinner event.
