PGA tour winner took his own life after withdrawing in the middle of a tournament. Faced demons for years, apparently. So, so sad.
When are we as a society going to really, really pay attention to mental health in general, and that of our athletes in particular? RIP Grayson. RIP Katie.

very sad. he talked about mental health issues in years past.
two athletes that i always root for are Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka, because they have both withdrawn from major events and publicly cited self-care as the reason. if more male athletes do the same, i think that would set a good example for younger men who are facing similar issues.

I’m sick of people dying this way. The underlying conditions are treatable and death is preventable. When we stop calling people “crazy” and assigning so much stigma to mental health disorders, we’ll have a chance of reversing the trend.
