Though not headed to Stanford, and instead to UVA, fun to see one of my daughter's teammates on the psych sheets. Though just a high school grad, has a shot at a B final if there is such a thing. . ..

Ledecky headed to her fourth straight Olympics crushing the field in the 400M Free. Not even her best event, either. Sad to see her wearing Gator swim caps, though. . .

Interesting that Stanford does not recognize on its list former Cardinal swimmers Claire Curzan and Regan Smith who transferred to Virginia.
Torrie Huske will be competing in the 100m butterfly final tonight. She has the 2nd fastest qualifying time, behind Gretchen Walsh who set a world record in the semis. Also in the 100 fly finals are Curzan and Smith.

46 year old Gabrielle Rose won her heat in the 100 meter breaststroke and qualified for the semis! She graduated from Stanford in 2000, and received her MBA in 2009.

Absolutely a great story. Came in 10th, just out of the finals. Didn't realize that she was from Stanford. Amazing that all but one of her competitors hadn't been born when she swam in the 2000 Olympics.
