Michigan St is playing Florida Atlantic. The had a 16-10 lead and were driving the ball well with 10:40 to play in the 4th. With a 4th and 1 on the 11 yard line they chose to try to run for the first down rather than kick a FG. They got stuffed. Bad decision?

I really don't like it when college football announcers refer to transfer players by the school they transferred from rather than their hometown, like they do for non-transfer recruited players. It's as if by transferring the players have cut ties to their hometown.

I notice that I could watch Portland State vs Wazzu on CW channel right now (I won’t, but I could). On balance, I have to say that I prefer our version of reality to the alternate one.

Pac-12: Both OSU and WSU are 1-0, blowing out their opponents by 38-15 over Idaho State and 70-30 over Portland State, respectively.:
Former Pac-12 teams:
Big 10: USC plays LSU today. Oregon's 1-0 after a 24-14 squeaker over Idaho. UCLA's 1-0 after an even closer 16-13 squeaker over Hawaii. Going to be a loooooong season for the Bruins. Washington is 1-0 after a 35-3 non-squeaker over Weber St.
Big 12: Colorado, Utah, Arizona and ASU are all 1-0. Colorado's was close over North Dakota State, 31-26, the other three were blowouts; 49-0 over S. Utah, 61-39 over UNM and 48-7 over Wyoming, respectively.
