Not sure this is a big loss for Stanford. She was the driving force behind expanding the Stanford football "required" donation for football tickets. I had several conversations with her to explain what was going to happen (see MBB) but she didn't want to listen. Destroyed my Portola Valley group in section 114. Then two years later these "donations" weren't even tax deductible. Now none of our group, including me have seats in 114. Call us the disaffected.
All this said she was not the problem. Bernard Muir is.

Just another example of how Stanford the entity has lost sight of how to cultivate Stanford the community :(

Agree totally. Heather was a leader , she had the player experience and she understands how to make the tough decisions. We will miss her..but getting the chance Tom e #1 is a wonderful opportunity for her .

So…we effectively traded Heather Owen for Tess Heal. We give up some post depth in exchange for some excellent perimeter scoring. I like this trade and think it is a good move by Kate and Co

As an SCU alum and fan of both schools, I'm very happy she's on board at Santa Clara. I hope she doesn't turn out to be another Cheryl Levick.
