I can\'t believe they have only lost one. I\'d expect that USC would have to pay big bucks to keep most of those 2010 and 2011 super recruits from jumping away from USC by now.
Most of the guys that are listed as 2011 verbals could easily go to Texas or SEC schools if they want the media glory, or UCLA or C.a.l if they want to stay in the state.
And this loyalty is for Kiffin! He was not exactly dominating the SEC while at Tennessee.
But hey, maybe these kids believe that the world they saw as unofficial recruits in 2009 will survive. I guess they hope that the movie stars, musicians and other LA celebs will keep showing up. And that the entire scene will still feel like NFL light, even though the NCAA specifically noted that as evidence of a major institutional problem.
This 2010 recruit must be getting better (or at least different) advice than those other guys.

I think during Henderson\'s recruitment he was wavering for quite a while between Miami and USC. He must have decided that if it was a close call before the stuff hit the whirling blades, his first choice afterward would not be USC.
Another player--non-starter-- is transferring out - Redrum - 07-06-2010
You might see USC offering limo rides out to more guys who are lower on the depth chart who want to transfer. They need to make as much room as possible for recruits given the NCAA limits dictated by sanctions. Better to let yesterday\'s promising HS stars transfer out to make room for those now scarcer HS stars of today. It\'s a cruel compression of development time most college football players go through. Incoming players will have to develop into contributors quickly or find themselves quickly replaced by incoming freshmen and sophs who thecoaching staff thinks will be better, faster.

USC\'s reason for appealing the NCAA ruling is pretty clear: they want to be able to sign a full, 25 member class this year before sanctions take hold. Much more important than the 30 total scholarships they\'ll be losing is the class limits of 15 players/class. That means all player losses in excess of 15 will result in an unfilled roster spot through the duration of the sanctions. Judging from their scout site, USC has 20 people in the senior class; add to that the three players who have already transferred, the players who will be leaving for the NFL early and the players who will leave via attrition of other kinds (academics, injury, etc.) and the depth situation doesn\'t look good for them.
Here\'s hoping for a speedy decision by the NCAA on appeal!
