I'm not particularly superstitious, maybe a little stitious as Michael Scott said, but I do appreciate George offering to take one for the team!
For my pick, I really should go with my logical side and pick the Weenies.
But I just can't do it, even be damned the valuable prizes I might miss out on for blowing the contest!
So I go with Stanford.
Maybe a lower scoring game cause of good defense and weather.
But who knows.
Good thing I don't rely on predicting sports games for a living.
Oh, but there's always weather, now there's a thought...

First Big Game in ACC, called the "Nerd Bowl"
EASY CALL: STANFORD WINS ON LATE FG.
Oddsmakers have CAL covering the 2 TD point spread on Stanford.
... and that's the way we like it.
Cal will go in thinking they have it in the bag after a mediocre performance last week vs SYRC, who we handled, also on the road.
There are 8 teams in the ACC at no better than 5-5. Nine teams have 6 wins or better (bowling).
We beat CAL, then SJST and finish 5-7 and avoid the Cellar. CAL finishes 5-7, losing to us + SMU.
Yes, CAL has the better Defense. Their QB Mendoza has better stats.
They throw more than they run to about 6 or 7 WRs.
I am REALLY worried most about our Pass Defense, lack of it against KAL. Ok, and the O-Line. Yes.
We need turnovers to win. Go to Ayomanor early, not just Q4. And Moseley, our new hero.
SI questions a 14 point spread, because of Cal's downtick vs SYRC last week.

A Stanford win would blow my mind. Unlike last weekend, the opponent is going to show up ready to play.
I think it will be entertaining, but with lots of mistakes on both sides. I don't think the Stanford offense is going to match up well with Kal's defense, but Kal's offensive line gives up a lot of sacks. Stanford MUST play well against the run to have a chance. Unfortunately, I just have never believed in Stanford's defensive front. Hope I'm wrong, but:
