Stepfan Taylor is coming back - LuckE2Bhere - 12-09-2011

May not be a big surprise to many of you, but I know that some on this board were pessimistic (shocking!).  Per an interview posted on The Bootleg earlier today:

Quote:Have you thought at all about entering the NFL Draft next year?

ST: No, I’m staying.

Why not go to the draft? Why would you choose to stay?

ST: I told my parents I was coming here to get my degree, so I have to stay. I just feel like that I can get another year in, improve a lot. I just want to be with the teammates that I came into class with and to go through four years of my career with them. There’s a lot to come back for.

Who will be the first to turn this into a negative (like Barry Jr. won't sign now)?  ;)

All kidding aside, I just love his answer... and the fact that he's not the only one who says things like this (see: Mr. Deserving of the Voldemort)!

Maybe he wanted one more year so fans would have the time to get his name spelled right.

Wow - I don't know how to edit to show my original mistake in the Subject field (I originally typed Stephan, which is why CowboyIndian's reply was so funny), while still correcting it out of respect for him!?!

The weird thing is that I consciously thought to myself "Self: make sure you spell that correctly!" when I started the post.  Maybe it's one of those "whatever you do, don't think of a white elephant" mental things?!?  Sorry, Stepfan!!!

Darrin Nelson leads Stanford with around four thousand rushing yards, right? Taylor's got 2,593 with (we hope) fourteen left to go. He's totally within striking distance and would love to see him get that record.

Good for Stepfan. Another Stanford guy with his head screwed on straight.  :)

Maybe Good Grief can start a campaign for Stepfan for Voldemort runner up!

:P

I suppose GG is already going to be a busy, busy guy this year.

After reading the blogs/expert sites lately I'm hoping GG has been hitting the speed bag and going through intensive training at the local gym.  He's going to have a lot of appointments to schedule and a sore right arm ...

(Here's a few stops for his project punch list ....)
