With Gulbranson's injury, this game is suddenly appointment viewing for anyone with any interest in Stanford football. And, oh yeah, the defense is putting together it's best half in about two years.
I have no idea what's going to happen, but I will be watching.

JeebsOak - 10-18-2025
lol not a single angle showed that to be a touchdown

Braindead move to kneel the ball with 35 seconds in the half and a QB who's taken one snap all year. I'm not sure Stanford will get a better coach than Reich next year, but it's easy to see why he failed in the NFL.

Maybe there are only six replies on this post at the half because everyone is at the game…

I wish - 5:15 am where I'm at - too tired to type but mostly confused by HTH FSU won 3 games.

Can't say that I've seen every snap of this game, but it's been absolutely brutal on the injury front.
Stanford loses its most consistent offense player, Micah Ford. It looked like one of those awful "lower leg" injuries. He's really been the MVP of the team, so obviously a brobdingnagian loss.
Stanford loses its QB, also to an awful lower leg injury. 'Nuff said.
Stanford loses its wunderkind OL, Ugorji, in an injury serious enough for him to ride a cart to the locker room. I didn't see what happened, but the camera's caught him limping badly on the field.
Perhaps (or perhaps not) Collin Wright, who many feel to be Stanford's most talented defensive player, suffered what at least appeared to be a less serious injury in that he was able to walk off under his own power. It's unclear to me if he ever returned.
All in one half! Horrific to see.
Not promising after the first Stanford possession, but it wasn't Brown's fault. A holding penalty had the team marching backwards. But Brown did not look especially calm or confident. HOpefully he'll settle down. I'd rather see him throw an interception than play tentatively.
I really, really wish he had gotten some playing time this season before tonight.

Wow, nice TD drive!

TD! Lead back to 10

I believe in Cole Tabb.
Florida State on the ropes, and I absolutely love it.
BTW, I said earlier that Ford was the offensive MVP. C.J. Williams surely has been co-MVP, at least, and that catch was amazing on the TD drive.

With 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, ESPN Analytics gives Stanford a 76% chance of winning. I did not see the coming.
(For the woofing gods: with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, ESPN Analytics gives Stanford a 24% chance of losing.)

Stanford will open the fourth quarter with a two possession lead and the ball. I'm not very confident in Brown having to throw under pressure, so I'd say the best option on third-and-short is a running play to Cole Tabb. Whatever comes next, let's salute the defense for an outstanding three quarters of play.
Florida State right about now battling Stanford, whatever disillusionment they're feeling from losing three games in a row, and jet lag, of course.

Florida state is so pooooorly coached
Really poor three play momentum stretch right there… don’t understand the second and third down play call, followed by a horrendous punt return coverage.. is this where the wheels start to fall off?

The punt coverage is how you lose close games. It's been an otherwise clean game by Stanford. Hopefully that was truly an aberration.

Genuinely stunned at their lack of discipline.
Stanford has some really good pieces...i like their DBs a lot.
