Gripe: when does the game start? - TonyLima - 12-03-2025

I follow starting times pretty closely. But the listed times rarely match the actual start time. Latest example: tonight’s WBB originally scheduked for 7 pm suddenly changed to 6:15. I’ve delayed posting this because I know my cognitive skills are diminishing and I may be misremembering times. But today was the proverbial last straw.

Second gripe: could you please lower the volume on the crow/on-floor mics? Some of us would like to hear the game call.

I was late getting to the game. To catch up as I walked to the game from my car, I tried to “Listen Live” from the GoStanford site. It wasn’t playing, saying the game starts in an hour. Sigh…

Thankfully, I quickly shifted to KZSU, cursimg the AD for not including a link to the Stanford student-run coverage. Not very collegial.

Noticed that too!  It was really bad audio mixing.  Hard to understand the announcers at times.
Younger ears mighta helped.

Wait, wait, wait! KZSU still carries the WBB games? I tried streaming the CSU game while driving to the football game on Saturday and couldn't get it to play. Perhaps it's just as well, since I probably would've had a heart attack enroute. Didn't catch up until we were in our seats and there was just over a minute left in the CSU game (and still nearly lost my lunch).

My hearing aids get Bluetooth straight from my iPhone. I’ll try to experiment with settings. Stay tuned for my research report. (Jabra Enhance 700 MBTE for those who want to know.  OTC.)
