MBB: The most optimistic piece of news -
washingtonismoney - 12-14-2011
One thing I've found puzzling about our early-season surge is the somewhat average play of Dwight Powell and Anthony Brown, who both looked worse than they did at the end of last season. That's been more than offset by Randle, improvement by Brown and Huestis, but I have the odd belief that it's better to have all of your players playing well than not. So this tidbit in the Merc reassured me:
Quote:There might be more help on the way. Injuries have slowed two of the team's most talented players -- sophomores Anthony Brown (knee) and Dwight Powell (ankle/heel). Gradually, they are mending.

I thought they both looked considerably better than they had in the past several weeks during the NC State game. Healing during this long break shouldn't hurt, either. And don't forget about Aaron Bright--he's probably the biggest reason for the early-season success.
