Sources: Former Michigan QB Davis Warren has committed to Stanford. He started a majority of the 2024 season at Michigan. He’s expected to have two years remaining.

Not sure if he's any good, but a Michigan starting QB seems like a higher profile transfer than we usually get, and at a position of great need.

From 2022-24, completed 139/223 passes (62.3%) for 1,288 yards, 7 TDs, 10 INTs - negligible rushing attempts/yardage & no rushing TDs. Per Old Spanish Trail, DNP at all in 2025 due to recovering from an ACL injury

He's older than Gulbranson, turning 24 on January 9th.
I like that he's an older college QB... He has to have experienced much more than any of our other current QBs.

He's a four time All Big 10 Academic honoree. Originally a walk-on, earned scholie his soph year.
2024/25 season stats here:
2024 Michigan Football Statistics - University of Michigan Athletics
Leukemia survivor in high school. Beat both Ohio State and Alabama at end of 2024. Threw six interceptions his first three games (including 11 of 14 performance against Arkansas State in which all three incompletions were intercepted). Benched, then came back. Tore his ACL. Practiced, but never appeared in a game.
Michigan also lost redshirt frosh QB Jadyn Davis through the portal.

Stanford alum + michigan football season ticket holder here. Woof I hope he is not the QB1 plan. Yes he beat OSU and Alabama - and threw for a total of 135 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs in those two games. It was reminiscent of times before the forward pass was legal.
QBR rating wise he might be a slight bump over gulbranson, but if the running game isnt humming, offense will be UGLY

A College QB's room reminds me of an MLB team's starting pitchers rotation, to a lesser degree.
But similar thought.
You better have a good backup, and a good backup to the backup,
cause someone always gets hurt and/or just doesn't look good.
