Nice jump hook by Alex.

Wow…it appears that there are fewer fans than participants. Seriously.

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - martyup - 02-05-2026

I don't think I've ever seen so few people in the stands at a WBB game, including HS games.

Was just saying that. There are, what, five people behind the PITT bench?

This reminds me of the crowds (or lack thereof) at Stanford wrestling matches back in my day.  Depressing as a competitor.

I hope our team uses this game to really focus on avoiding turnovers and attacking on offense.  So far so good.

Hey, we played a whole quarter with zero turnovers!

We lead 19-16.  6 assists on 9 baskets is wonderful.

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - crackpot - 02-05-2026

First Q1 w/out a turnover since...? A long time, anyway.

Based on what happened in the last 20 seconds of Q1, I’m not sure the phrase “really focused” applies.

Somfai is on fire.  With 3:44 to play in the 2nd Q, she has 9 points and 11 rebounds and no fouls.

Clardy ignites for 14 points in the first half, going 4-6 from beyond the arc.

We lead at the half 43-35. 12 assists to 2 turnovers. No player has more than 1 foul. We are shooting 47% overall and 44% from 3. We shot zero free throws in the first half, while Pitt shot 6-6 from the charity line.

Quickly figured out we're not allowed to play defense, so fouls should be few.

I saw the stats and I’m very impressed with the first half, no matter the opponent because overall the focus seems there with great shooting, passing and taking care of the ball and again without two starters.

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - mbdude - 02-05-2026

alex pulled twice pretty quickly

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - crackpot - 02-05-2026

Can we have the first half team back, please? Chloe can stay.

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - mbdude - 02-05-2026

16 rebounds so far for Somfai.

must be a different standard for Alex tonight

Are we going to run out of gas in this one? Not going very deep cause we don't have a bench to go to. Offense has looked better more assists and less turnovers. Defense has looked worse. Could use Ogden getting hot.

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - martyup - 02-05-2026

Not sure why MAS has played more minutes than Alex today.

Wish granted.

Our end of quarter offense continues to suck.

I was just saying we were so much better at this this season, and today (so far) 0 for 3. Let's hope that's the last one we need to take. Need to put the hammer down.

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - TonyLima - 02-05-2026

Lead now 17. Might just pull this one out.

Stanford has 30 rebounds. Lara has 20 of them.

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - martyup - 02-05-2026

Ogden is in the zone.

Somfai has 20 rebounds!

RE: WBB: Stanford v. Pitt - Spiny_Norman - 02-05-2026

Apparently Stanford has added a player to its roster - Hannah Swain. At least, that is what the graphic has said. Is anyone at the ACC Network paying attention?
