so your football GM and DC both resign in a few months and the head coach apparently had now knowledge of what was going on?

As part of the investigation’s conclusion, defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, son of head coach Bill Belichick — who has been on medical leave since Aug. 6 — has resigned. The 39-year-old’s resignation will go into effect at the conclusion of his leave, on Oct. 27.

Former UNC general manager Michael Lombardi — once the highest-paid GM in college football, making $1.5 million annually — previously resigned on Sept. 3.

Less than two years into Bill Belichick’s tenure, both his son and longtime right-hand man have departed the program under a cloud of scrutiny, but Bill Belichick was not named in the university’s statement Thursday and continues to prepare for the Tar Heels (2-0) playing Saturday at Clemson.
