somehow I'm not feeling as confident about Mr. Garnett coming here. Hope I'm wrong, but still thinking Michigan

I disagree, his latest interviews discussed how hard it will be to say no to coaches and players he's bonded so well with (Michigan) and how he wants to be in a nice warm area (Stanford).

That sounds hopeful. I always felt that if we ended up with two of the final big 4 (Murphy, Garnett, Peat, Shittu) we would consider it a very strong finish. Any more than that would be outstanding (assuming we hold onto the centerpieces of our recruiting class so far: Carter, Davis, Sanders, Watkins, etc)

In home visit from Brady Hoke on Sunday in Seattle for Garnett. Not a good sign for the Cardinal. With Garnett's whole recruitment, Eric Magnesson and Company really clicked on their visits to Ann Arbor and are in his ear to commit as well to UM.

Garnett has recently said that he has a really difficult decision but Magnuson is making it easier. Earlier, he talked a lot about his "final three", but in the past week he seems to mention maize and blue and other Michigan things and traditions but doesn't seem to mention players/recruits and the like at Stanford or Notre Dame. I think he will go Michigan. I'm new to this recruiting stuff, though, so maybe this "misdirection" stuff happens a lot.

Larkingforever, like you, I have long thought that Garnett was leaning, just slightly, toward Michigan. There is a way the comment about Magnussen could be seen as a positive for Stanford, though. It could be that Magnussen has simply told Garnett something to the effect of "Josh, you're my boy, no matter what you choose. Michigan, Stanford, do what's good for you." What could be tougher for Garnett than wanting to choose Stanford, but having your new best friend say, "Dude, what's up? We talked about doing this together!" That would seriously suck.Â
Q: I know the Michigan fans are focusing on Hoke's in-home today. Will Shaw and staff get one last in-home later? He's not announcing until Thursday.
I'm not sure how to read Garnett, though I'm mildly pessimistic regarding our chances.
