The rapid acceleration of the recruiting-internet complex has created a situation in which three sites have offered their opinion as to the top players in America, a full year before they'll sign, and approximately a year and a half until they'll even step foot on a college campus as a scholarship athlete. So, yes, life is crazy.
That said, I did think it was interesting to note that Stanford's lone commit--Doug Randolph of Virginia--is ranked #204 by 247 and #68 by Rivals.

My obsession with recruiting is still not satiated. When is Stanford's first "junior day"? I think it is usually sometime in March.

last year it was on February 25th.
