TEs for the future? - stan01 - 03-11-2012

Are we in trouble at the TE position come 2013?  With the possibility of losing Ertz and Toilolo to the NFL a year early, there is only one TE (a preferred walk on) in the 2012 class, Canadian Alex Frkovic.  Stanford has offered four TEs in the class of 2013, but three are off the market: Durham Smythe seriously considered the Card but recently chose Texas, Adam Breneman had no interest and decided to stay local at Penn State, and Jake Butt is Michigan bound.  That leaves Hunter Henry, who got an offer from Stanford in mid February.  Is he at all interested?  Are we targeting anyone else?

If we lose Ertz and Toilolo after next season Hewitt could be moved back to TE assuming he doesn't leave early too. Davis Dudchock will also be around and Luke Kaumatule and Devon Cajuste could also be moved to TE. Current OLB commit Doug Randolph also plays TE and I'm sure the coaches are scouring the country for more quality TE's to offer.
