Way too political. Just leave it at: "The most notable I ran across was a woman sitting in a wheelchair, strapped to an oxygen tank, playing the accordion and singing..."
I've only been to Mile High City once, when my daughter on Superfly (women's Ultimate Frisbee club team) played Nationals. The coach told all the players, keep drinking bottled water until you have to pee. I hydrated myself likewise, and never once gasped for breath. (Didn't pee inordinately, either.)

One could use snow to ice down the very hot Stanford shooting arms. But don't let them get too cold. Gotta get 'em warmed up again in time to revenge our only loss of the season.

I remember Paprikas Fono. Liked it a lot. Took my cousin and his wife (they lived near Philadelphia) there in the mid70s. Was very sorry when it wasn't there any more.

It's hard for you to see the upside of snow? (I wouldn't say that too loudly around town.)
It snowed at my prom. Actually it did a lot of things at my prom, none of them good.
Anyway, if you go to one of the 1.2 zillion Mexican restaurants make sure it isn't Holly West in Wheat Ridge (Go Farmers!). I don't know if it took its name from the porn star or vice versa (although I think the restaurant is much older), but it is home to the Tacarito , which more often than not found its half-digested way onto our bedroom's shag rug in the middle of the night. So, you have been warned. Also stay away from Casa Bonita. I know it made it in a South Park episode, but it's just wrong.

I'm thinking all the replies to Garvin's original post -- starting with mine -- have drifted into some sort of Alzheimer's thread??

Great decision ordering the frito pie. But if you couldn't find frito pie in San Antonio, it's because you weren't looking for it, not because it wasn't available. It's practically the unofficial state dish in Texas.
