My question is, who exactly thought this was a big deal? Is ESPN going to devote major investigative resources to the epidemic of unpaid parking tickets among Akron Zips next?

While I sort of agree with your implied sentiment, Oregon may have crossed into critical mass territory when it comes to illicit behavior. They're a snowball headed downhill at this point...and fair game. It would probably help if Chip Kelly weren't such a horse's patoot, but life is full of trade-offs.
