What is the real story??
College drinking?  Resisting arrest?

None of the above...The real story is that Rees was chased down by local cops.  If ND was really still great their starting QB should not be losing a foot race to a local cop.  Come on man!

Does the police officer have any eligibility left?  Maybe ND found their next OLB.

Watkins might be my favorite WR in college, made Clemson a top 10 team last year and they fell apart when he got injured late in the season. Really makes me appreciate all the quality individuals Stanford lands each year. I still can't believe all the stuff guys like Will Hill (FL), Cliff Harris (UO), Vontaze Burfict (ASU), Jordan Jefferson (LSU), Watkins, etc. do every year when they are locks for the NFL... smh

IMO, Vontaze Burflict may be, quietly, one of the main stories from this year's NFL draft.  Here is a player who, coming out of HS, was considered perhaps the best LB in his class (along with Manti Teo, who I think was in the same class, along with Shayne Skov).  Burflict never suffered a catastrophic injury, was considered by many so-called experts to be the best LB in the Pac 10/12, seemed to many coming into the season as a likely high draft choice, but constantly hurt his team with foolish, undisciplined play.  But for someone with that physical skill set to fall COMPLETELY off the draft board?  I can only think he had some seriously messed up interviews with NFL teams.

Yes, character and intelligence really do matter, even in a sport like football where the culture emphasizes freakish physical ability and hyper-toughness and machismo.

Dennis Erickson reaps what Dennis Erickson sows.

As this incident shows well, Rees is on the field for his decision-making ability.
