The Joe Ayoob breaks paper plane record story has turned into a Kurt Vonnegut story (specifically: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrison_Bergeron) as Ayoob is accused to be a ringer. 59er fans should probably rejoice: it's one of the only times a 59er has been accused as being too good.

I don't see why he had to practice at all. He was unparalleled at flinging objects up into the stratosphere, heedless as to where or when they landed.

Yes, all those world records set by actual athletes should be discarded. All that training and nutrition provides too much of an advantage. World records are supposed to be set by unemployed accountants.

Jeez, if you are a paper-airplane enthusiast be happy that someone paid enough attention to bring in someone who had the needed skill set. If you want to break the record, then design an excellent plane, and hit the gym. Otherwise, you aren't going to have a chance. Or change your field of excellence to underwater Monopoly.
