Ouch! We already rode the Irrelevant Bus. It's no fun - Redrum - 06-16-2012
But, according to the Oregonian, the former creator of elite QBs is in danger of becoming irrelevant. From the description, it couldn't be anyone else but Jeff the UC system's highest paid employee. The part that made even me wince was the quote from JT about the Holiday Bowl...loss. After that, you can kinda see the Oregonian's point.

Well, it's not exactly as though we were even mentioned in that article, so our omission tacitly suggests that we're irrelevant.

Canzano has always rubbed me the wrong way.Â

Sadly, it isn't like we have been much of a challenge to the Ducks the last couple of years..... and we had one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all-time leading us. So, can't totally blame the author for ignoring us.
We didn't beat Oregon, but who else in Pac North... - Redrum - 06-18-2012
-- maybe even the whole Pac-- was capable of challenging the Ducks and dominated the rest? We were unsuccessful in beating everyone we played, but Oregon was not the only relevant team in the Pac.Â
I think the tone of the article and our disappearance in this particular discussion of relevance is the shared belief that Stanford was all about Luck. I think we're more, but the rest of the Pac can be forgiven for wishful thinking and we will have to prove it wrong.
The mantra about our 'best defensive front 7 in the conference" isn't that reassuring if we have to depend on it week in and week out. Our defense was good in part because our offense kept them decently rested and out from under save-the-game pressure for the most part. If every game starts looking like the end of the US.C game last year, then we will know we're in a bind. I guess the basic question is whether --under the new North South division format, only two teams are "relevant" until the championship game, and then only one team after that.
