Wow, awesome! What an impressive pitching performance from Arizona--two Wildcat pitchers limited South Carolina to three hits and one run on the night after Konner Wade threw a complete game (6 hits, 1 run).

Congrats to UofA and the Pac-12. ESPN could not keep themselves from saying that the SEC has dominated the Pac-12 in baseball.

Watched the 8th and 9th inning, but did not watch the whole event. Did ESPN mention their, err.. Capital One's Cup?
On the men's side it looks like Arizona will vault from 25th place all the way up to 2nd. Moving from 30 points to 90 points. And that Florida will likely win with something close to 100 points.
I am sure that suspense is entertaining, but it seems crazy that the top finisher and the second place finisher were not even in the top 10 entering into June. Florida zipped up to the top of the list with their (3X) track win, and Arizona moved up with their (3X) CWS win. Odd system when teams can move from middle of the pack to the top of the list based alost exclusively on the strong results in one sport.

Apparently the athletic directors didn't get the memo from Capital One that some sports are worth up to 3x other sports. How about that return on investment.

They continue to advertise it throughout all broadcasts.

I think the software should refer to the Capitol One Cup as the "Anybody But Stanford" Cup

OK, but it's Capital.

The Capital One Cup not only does not weight sports equally, but adds extra weight to some sports that are not played at West Coast colleges, while not counting several that are strong at those schools. Many here, including me, believe that the Cup's scoring system is deliberately designed to screen out the perennial Directors Cup winner Stanford.

Which are the sports not played in the West, but scored in the Crapital One Cup?Â
Fencing?
Rifling?
Indoor Track & Field?
Noodling?
Hockey?

Lacrosse, which is largely an East Coast sport counts triple. Ice hockey also counted triple and water polo was. It included before last year.
