Back to Back replays on ESPNU today - doublespiral - 07-15-2012

Apparently ESPN has determined the top 25 college football games from 2011:

http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2012/07/%E2%80%A2espnu-marathon-of-top-25-2011-2012-college-football-games-nation-decides-top-five-matchups/

The top 5 are up for a vote.

Number 6 might be one that you want to avoid reliving, but another overtime game would be worth watching again (perhaps weekly). Both are playing on ESPNU today, beginning at 6:30pm PDT.

Re: Back to Back replays on ESPNU today - Hank 91 - 07-15-2012

I just made the mistake of watching the last couple drives of regulation and then overtime. I was surprised by how depressing it was, even seven months later. Believe it or not, what I really wish isn't that the play calling had been different (I wish that a little bit), but that the officials had seen that blatant hold on the last real play, the 24.5 yard touchdown that wasn't.

I know it's not healthy to dredge this up again, but the Stanford defender (I can't bring myself to go back to the tape to remind myself who it was) was hooked down at the thirty on 2nd and 10. The penalty would've pushed the ball back to the forty, where it would've been 2nd and 25...

I'll stop now.

The latter.
