QB Keller Chryst got his first offer from SC. He's the QB at Paly, going to be a Jr. I expect Stanford to offer soon too.

For those who have forgotten, aside from Ryan Burns, Chryst was the star of this summer's Stanford camp. I think he's a must-sign.

I know nothing about Chryst's academics, but I thought that recruiting athletes hyper-locally was always a bit of a problem, because a large fraction of the student body at Paly applies to Stanford, and the "how come he got in when I didn't?" questions would be a chorus.

I don't there's any way around those questions. I'm sure there were people in my high school wondering why I was admitted instead of them, and I wasn't a blue chip quarterback prospect. I think it's always a great thing to get a local kid when possible. Hopefully Chryst can be that kid.
