Because we're all just crack addicts on Luck - Redrum - 08-07-2012

Two stories that make us all feel smarter, more gifted just by the most tenuous of connections:

The Indianapolis Colts HC's "Aha!! Moment":

I've been tracking most of the pre-season press on Andrew Luck's progress in Indy. There's a lot of hyperbole being put to paper (and web browser) about his progress. But it mostly rings true as the few criticism I've read in the press match the issues I had with Luck during his time on the farm (forcing the play in a tight window when it's just not there and accuracy on the deep ball.) It sounds like he's being incredibly efficient in short yardage and he's able to make adjustments at the line to give the offense an advantage. I will be interested to watch the pre-season game on Sunday, if I can find it pirated on-line.

I like to browse different places around the world for different perspectives in print or view different sports in different countries.

You might Google: all you can read

or perhaps: the first row eu

You never know what you might find.

Enjoy!

I am really looking forward to watching Luck this year.  We have to remember the Colts' line and running game are pretty horrendous, so it should be a tough transition.  7 wins and I'd put Luck in the Pro Bowl.

I like these articles on his preparation/ readiness...  I am sure he would be the first to acknowledge how much further ahead he is having played in a pro-style offense, as opposed to some junk offense that guys like Tebow and RG3 ran.  RG3 seems to be off to a good start, in spite of the fact that he is getting used to his first playbook, which he admitted seemed like a "foreign language" when he first saw it.  Hopefully recruits will take note of the benefits of playing in a system which prepares you for the next level.

I was at an event where David Shaw spoke about a week after Luck's first rookie mini-camp with the Colts back in May. He claimed that Luck came back and explained the entire Indianapolis offense in about twenty minutes.
