They are saying he was dismissed for using illegal drugs now. Something that is really naughty in the SEC, but not so much at other schools. Gee, I wonder where he will end up? He kinda sound like Chip Kelly kind of player. I can hear the pitch now, "Come on up to Oregon. Here you can smoke pot while driving 118 miles an hour and no one cares!"

Uh, Cliff Harris was suspended from the national showcase LSU game, and functionally suspended for several more while working through Kelly's reinstatement program. He also had the legal fallout that other first time offenders would have: large fine, license issues etc.
Before earning back his starting position he was dismissed from the team for driving with an expired license, doubtlessly costing him millions of dollars of potential earnings as Redrum points about Mathieu.
