Did he get hurt? He didn't play in 2nd half.

After watching presser, it seems Shaw suggested that Vaughters was pulled in favor of Lancaster in the latter stages of the game. My guess is he wasn't doing what he needed to do in pass coverage and the coaches simply trusted Lancaster more with SJS having to throw the ball late.
