Depth chart for Duke game - Spiny_Norman - 09-04-2012

Skov now paired with Vaughters as starting ILB.

At CB, Wayne Lyons or Barry Browning will start.

At LT, it's Yankey or Peat.  I interpret that to mean that Peat starts if his hand is healed.  If not, Stanford will start the same 5 linemen that had difficulties vs. SJS.

Ryan Hewitt still nowhere to be seen.

it's too bad Cole Underwood tore up his knee. I think he'd be more servicable than Wilkes at LG. And Kevin Reihner is nowhere to be seen. Isn't even ahead of walk-on Connor McFadden at C.

Re: Depth chart for Duke game - terry - 09-04-2012

I heard Reihner has an injury.

It now seems quaint, but I kind of liked Harbaugh-speak.  "Reihner's working through some issues"

Was Bonnell on the depth chart last week? He seems to have turned some heads in his play in the jumbo package last week.

Re: Depth chart for Duke game - StannyBoy - 09-04-2012

pretty sure he's third string at RG and LG so not likely to play much unless we have injuries.

Re: Depth chart for Duke game - OutsiderFan - 09-04-2012

On the first depth chart Kyle Murphy was listed at LT.  Now he's listed at RT.  That would seem to suggest the staff has concluded Murphy probably isn't the best option at LT, and that Yankey is the best option after Peat.  Just a bit more evidence to suggest we can expect to see Peat starting at LT and Yankey back to LG as soon as Peat's cast comes off.

Does anyone have any idea when that will be?  I think having Yankey back at LG will make a brobdingnagian difference in the run game.

Re: Depth chart for Duke game - washingtonismoney - 09-04-2012

In the press conference, Shaw said Yankey and Peat would be splitting time. My guess is they want to get Peat's feet wet before totally immersing him.

Re: Depth chart for Duke game - StannyBoy - 09-04-2012

Whe Yankey is in at LT I hope they put Garnett in at LG. he's got 4 inches and 30 lbs on Wilkes.

The end of this article says Hewitt's being held out due to his ankle injury, but should be back next week.

That should help with the rushing game and should give Nunes another passing target, as well.
