makes it .01% harder for usc to prepare for the game as they'll watch black uniforms on film and then be confronted with a completely different hue.

however, the stanford insignia, on the black helmet surface, really looks just like a STICKER.

I don't mind them, as long as they're an alternate, and not a replacement for the cardinal jerseys. They definitely look better with the black helmets.

Read an article in Scientific American yesterday that made a passing reference to teams in red having a slightly higher winning percentage. Exact stats not cited, but hearkens me back to Bob Whitfield requesting, and getting, the team to wear all red for big game in 1990 or so.Â

I also like the black helmets, but not the rest. Anyone know if we'll see the Nike Pro stuff at any point this year? I actually like that as an alternate uni an awful lot better than these basic black ones.

I think the black helmets pull the whole look together. I like it, as long as it's a one-game-a-year thing.
