watching football out of town with other stanford fans - TreeWeird - 09-11-2012

I'll be a lonely fan in Chicago this weekend.  Any advice where I can go?

Ditto this TreeWeird. I was working in DC in the late 80s-90s and felt completely out of touch. Got a hold of the DC chapter of the AA and was steered to sports bars with bootleg cable or dish systems that had our games sans commercials. Met many unexpectedly fascinating and entertaining alums. Gotta bet there's plenty of the same in your area.

Anybody know of a Stanford friendly bar in Rio de Janeiro for the USC game?

There's a Stanford in Brazil alumni chapter and a GSB Brazil/Rio chapter as well--I'd contact them (search the alumni website for "brazil" in groups) and see about it.
