Interesting...for the first 50 pages - Redrum - 09-09-2010
Reminds me why I stopped paying attention to pro football in all but peripherally college-related ways. First, because Scott Fujita just keeps bobbing up like some piece of non-biodegradable plastic trapped in the circular currents of the Pacific.
Second, because reading about the attitudes and aspirations of NFL owners is like studying the history of Cromwellian England. Cromwell, the putative \'democrat\' turns out to be an authoratarian prig with a serious stick up his bum. But then you look at the aristocracy and their claim to legitimacy and power is based on belief that God just made some people to be in charge and in England\'s case it was the guys with brobdingnagian hats with feather flourishes. Hard to parse the argument for legitimacy in that, and harder to sympathize with the heirs to that kind of entitlement thinking.
Third, how much detail does a person who is not a paid litigator need to know about this? That article just about worked it to death and America is no better for it. Suspect America will be no worse without the NFL for whatever blessed time the lockout lasts.
Fourth, Â a day without the Miami Dolphins-- better yet an entire season-- is a blessing indeed.

The rats take offense at that insinuation of affiliation, by the way, or so my sources tell me.
