SJSU beats Navy at their place, 12-0. Always impressive to do the cross-country trip and come out with a win.
Duke beats Wake Forest for the first time since 1999, at Wake Forest's place, 34-27.

So far, all of our opponents are one-loss teams.

59ers also lost onetime Stanford recruit and starting OLB Brennan Scarlett to a broken hand. Heading into the game, Scarlett was 4th on the team in tackles. Looked like a good player.

I think he's still using preseason ratings as an increasingly minor component, but nevertheless this is something to keep in mind when evaluating performance.
