The last time Stanford went to South Bend -

I can't believe I almost forgot this piece of Stanford lore:

How f-in' unbelievable was that series of plays. Brings a smile to my face. There should be a place in the Stanford hall of fame commemorating that play, and Owen's awesomeness in general. A shrine, if you will. Let us all bow our heads and pray to the god of Owen Marecic for another victory over the Irish.
Also, wasn't that 37-14 win supposed to be one of the biggest losses suffered by ND on their home field? How much does the revenge card play a role in all this? Those guys are going to be pumped up for this game. Our guys better bring their big boy pants and be ready for a fight.

Who is that excitable assistant coach who picks up Marecic after he returns to the sideline? Couldn't be the stoic current HC, could it?

Too be fair, OM's feats could melt even the coldest of exteriors.

It was the hair! Yes...yes it was.
He's actually cut his locks according to the few NFL photos I've seen. Hopefully that hasn't caused a Samson-like tumble in his football abilities.

I think he did it a while ago...and donated the clippings to the outfit that makes wigs for kids undergoing radiation.

I did read somewhere that the fans of Cleveland are less than impressed by Owen's performance. Apparently he's dropped a few passes. He may still be a great run blocker and provide great pass protection, but the average fan is only going to remember him for a dropped pass, sadly.

That was the game where Shayne Skov also had one of his most memorable plays, timing the snap count perfectly:
Fast-forward to ~34 seconds (I can't seem to get the normal youtube offset parameter to work):

I don't know, I seem to remember a similar "Watch out because now they will be really motivated next year" style claim after a certain game in 2009. If revenge is a dish best served cold, apparently that team needs to wait at least four years to get it nice and cold before they can get that revenge win. :)
Maybe Notre Dame will be on a similar wait until it is really, really, really, really cold type revenge plan.

I don't know what it is about the Cleveland Browns. Every player and coach who comes into that franchise, as if by black magic, seems to turn into $#%&, no matter how good they were before.

Not the case for Trent Richardson I think...

Trent Richardson is doing okay. But Evan Moore was cut a while ago, and Weeden doesn't look so hot. I still think they should have kept Colt McCoy and used or traded their other 1st rd draft pick on linemen.
