Whens the last time Stanford scored an offensive TD on the road? -

Not a bowl game, but on the road on someone else's turf.
Whatever was our last road game last year.

If the offense puts up a goose egg vs. Cal next Saturday, I will be ready to grab a pitchfork and a torch and join the masses in insurrection.

I think we have the worst starting QB and wide receivers in the Pac 12. We had a couple dropped balls but Nunes was horrible today. Our wideouts were just as bad. We are not a top 20 team. Notre Dame is not that good and they gift wrapped the game for us.Â
I am ready to see what Nottingham can do. I don't think Nunes will develop into a solid QB. He is telegraphing throws and does not have command of the offense.
The OSU backup QB is better than Nunes and he had one start.

I was just about to mention the Oregon State situation myself.
To fully appreciate it you have to go and look at what BYU's D was doing before the game. BYU's defense was awesome. They gave up nothing. They shut down everybody. Especially at home.
And then Cody Vaz, Sean Mannion's backup QB comes into Provo and broils them.
Stick with Nunes, switch to Nottingham or Hogan or Lloyd, I don't care anymore. But if you put together the production of Nunes in the 6 games that he has started, he is not even fit to carry the bucket of Gatorade for Cody Vaz. This is the grim reality that Shaw has to take into consideration.

There are many people who feel as you do. Unfortunately, none are living in the coach's house.

We don't know that. :)

Don't you think this is a lot of Vaz Deference being given for just one game? When Mannion comes back, will they need a Vazectomy? In the meantime, I guess Vaz will be slinging it all over the field.Â

He is, perhaps however, the guy who couldn't be trusted to do anything other than hand off the ball during those critical plays.

Although partly that could be because of both the poor weather and the six or so drops that the team had already experienced. He wasn't the only guy causing the passing game to sputter.

Keep in mind that was the play in which all of the Stanford players heard a whistle (which turned out to be a whistle from the crowd, not from an official) and stopped playing, while all of the Notre Dame players kept playing right through that whistle...

I'm guessing Stepfan Taylor (bless his heart) didn't hear the whistle either--maybe the refs did and each thought the other had blown the play dead. I maintain my position that the playcalling is the primary problem throughout the offense.
CZC: Most of the drops happened in the first quarter iirc. The passing game seemed improved as the game went on.
