I can't count the number of times I change that misused pronoun every day ...

"115th annual Big Game win." I like it.  ;D

Hey, for present C.al fans, I'm not sure this is an error.  It must surely SEEM like the 115th Stanford win... ;D

Not really...

When my Alma Mater was in the midst of their recent six game win streak, I knew that someday the worm would turn.  Just as I know this string of three will end soon.  Nothing last forever, either winning or losing.  It is just a matter of time.

Of course, once the current string does end, even if my Alma Mater wins multiple games consecutively, I will be prepared for the end of that string, etc. etc., etc.

Quote:their recent six game win streak

Is this a C.al fan's way of saying they don't acknowledge the Stanford victory in 2007 as legitimate, or are you just inflating the exploits of your alma mater to counter the deep depression the current team is inflicting on you?

OT: My favorite quote from that 2007 game:

Quote:"It's not like they're the better team," Cal linebacker Worrell Williams said. "They're not. There's no way, no how. Everybody knows that. But taking nothing away from them ... we killed ourselves today, and that's why we've had this slump."

At that point in the rivalry, I think most C.al players, and fans, couldn't imagine the streak ending. 71Bear, aside. It is a good reminder of how things change in just a few years.

Point taken, and, as Jack's Philly cousin says in the ad: "I'm bustin' your chops..."

Although I do take issue with one thing you say.  During the game yesterday, it sure seemed like scoreboard replays of "The Play" were lasting forever...

...and then there's that Rose Bowl non-appearance thing  ;)  [shame on me...]
