A Stanford Receiver Who Doesn't Drop the Ball -

Damon Dunn. Some of you might remember that I interviewed Damon for my site a few months ago. He was incredibly accommodating, and we kept in touch. I teach at a middle school here in Long Beach (Stanford Middle School, by the way, which is kinda cool). This is a decidedly middle to upper class neighborhood, and most of my students are in the accelerated program on their way college success. Many aspire to attend the actual Stanford.
But I also teach a class of low readers, many of whom lack motivation, direction, and support of any kind. They don't live in this neighborhood, but take the public bus from neighborhoods the rest of my students have never even seen.
Anyway, I worry about these students, so I reached out to Damon to see if he would be willing to act as a mentor. He's been amazing. He comes every week to meet with these boys, and they took to him immediately. It isn't a stretch to say that he's changing their lives.
It's not about football, but since some of you probably remember Damon on the field, I thought I'd share this. He's pretty good in the classroom, too.

He did. In 2010. He lost. This is California. He was the Republican candidate. What else is new...

The obvious answer to the question/statement is Drew Terrell. He struggles to get enough separation, but he doesn't drop the ball. He is AWESOME at catching punts and has made more than a few amazing catches this year. The catch in Big Game in particular is one that few WRs could make.

John Tunney took Murphy's seat. Cranston was elected in 1968, and [I believe] Murphy lost to Tunney in 1970, so Murphy and Cranston did overlap a little.
But, of course, it was all Dawkins' fault... ;D
