... and I believe that Robbie Picazo smoked Barkley (and won most of the MVP awards for which they were mutually eligible) in high school. Would we need a conspiracy to explain why Kiffin is started Barkley, if Robbie had enrolled at U$C?

I have heard before from wise individuals who spit on HS ratings and HS video and wait to see the whites of their eyes against collegians.
So, while Nunes' performance is now a known commodity, I gotta reserve judgement on Nottingham although I too wish I could see him in the heat of battle. It is clear now that Shaw prefers Hogan and I look forward to seeing what Hogan can do.
By the way, not that I think Nottingham is another Joe Montana, but do you recall Montana's college career? Montana made it into his senior (redshirt junior) year as third-string because he didn't see eye-to-eye with his coach. Among other things there was some participation in intramural basketball that ticked off Devine. If not for injuries Joe may never have gotten his shot.

I dont think it adds up. Unless Nottngham really went 23/13. Look at his maxpreps. I concluded 65%, still impressive.

According to maxpreps his HS junior year he had a legitimate 70% completion percent.

This was fun to watch. I didn't know Brett and Ertz went to the same high school. Very interesting.

The connection with Ertz is interesting. Also the accolades about his modesty and his leadership skills.
Re: 71% HS completions, PART 2- NUNES HS RECORDS- PREDICTABILITY? - JohnOlenchalk - 11-02-2012
So, can we extrapolate from Nunes' HS records any predictability factor? This was sent to me after the Washington game....
"All I heard was how Josh Nunes was a highly recruited Quarterback? Played 2 years of Varsity football at Upland High School and his senior year thru 26 touchdown passes with 18 interceptions:
Completed .548% of his passes on average but had 6 games as follows: .409,.387,.261,.440,.417,.429
Exactly what I have seen at Stanford! Jeckel and Hyde. At Stanford thru 5 games he is averaging 54.1% completion average rate with 8 TDs and 4 Ints. How is this guy our best quarterback?"
