Saturday's Depth Chart - Hank 91 - 11-01-2012

There are lots of crazy things here. Four tailbacks listed, not including Kelsey Young, who's down as a backup receiver. Seven wide receivers are listed, including Ol' Man Pratt. Also, Aziz Shittu is listed as the backup defensive end. Has he made a depth chart before this?

Re: Saturday's Depth Chart - Rando - 11-02-2012

There's no Kevin Hogan which is interesting.

I guess it makes sense if he just has the one formation and Brett is truly the backup for all other formations.

Re: Saturday's Depth Chart - ChicagoCard - 11-02-2012

I'm pretty sure Aziz replaced Hopkins in the 2-deep depth chart around the time of the Arizona game. And Pratt and Cajuste moved up when Montgomery went down. Except now those two are still listed and Montgomery's back.

Edit: I like "Ol' Man Pratt"... Would love to see some accurate balls thrown his way.

Re: Saturday's Depth Chart - OutsiderFan - 11-02-2012

James Vaughters has a total of 9 tackles.  Lancaster has 16.  Tarpley has 19.  Skov has 20.  Vaughters may have been the more highly touted recruit, but Tarpley and Lancaster continue to be the better players.

Interestingly, Thomas leads all LBs in tackles with 31 and Murphy is 2nd with 24.  That's probably a function of the fact the ILBs rotate a lot more than the stalwart OLBs.

Re: Saturday's Depth Chart - Hank 91 - 11-02-2012

You know what information I would love to see for all players, especially on defense? Total plays. In basketball, it's informative to see minutes played, but there's really no equivalent for football. Like most of us, I expected Vaughters to follow the Skov Progression, so it's disappointing that he's underperformed. (Of course, when Skov was a freshman and a sophomore, he didn't didn't have three NFL-bound linebackers ahead of him the way Vaughters does.) Anyway, without a knowledge of the number of plays Vaughters is in, I'm left scanning the defense for #9. Does anyone know if anyone tracks this?
