Re: Blogging with the Enemy: Oregon State - Redrum - 11-09-2012

There is a noticeable drop off in the passion and enthusiasm between guys who run fan websites and guys who are regular beat reporters.  I know professionals are supposed to be that way, but I actually like the energy some of the fan site bloggers put into their ravings.  This guy could be Detective Joe Friday: " Just the facts m'am. Just the facts."

Did you work out the voice transcription software issue?

I was thinking the same thing. There's information, but no love. He really didn't give me anything I didn't already know from perusing the Oregon State clubhouse on ESPN.com. I almost didn't even bother posting a link here. In years past I've traded posts with the guy who runs angrybeavs.com, but I didn't get a response from him this week. It's a shame, especially considering the importance of this game. Oh, well. I'll do better next time...

I love how he says that Wheaton and Cooks are the best receiving duo in the Pac-12.  Guess he's never heard of Robert Woods and Marqise Lee.

From the last couple of posts on angrybeavs.com, it looks like the guy who runs it has lost interest.

Kirkpatrick is a guy who hacks sports columns for the Corvallis Gazette-Times.  It's not exactly the Washington Post.  I challenge my kids to see who can find the most spelling and grammatical errors.  There is also my personal favorite, the wire service story that gets cut off in mid-sentence.  Still, you'd think that with the Beavers at 7-1, and Giants stories nearly exhausted, the guy could work up a little enthusiasm.

This blew me away. I emailed a follow up asking about Lee and Woods. No response.

If we can take care of Lee/Woods, we've got a good chance against Wheaton/Cooks.  Of course, if OSU has someone like Nelson Agholor...that might be a different situation.

I heard OSU's starting center had to sit out a day of practice to rest an injury.  Hope the Stanford defense is getting ready for their party in the backfield!
