He likes Kevin Anderson as a player to watch. I'm still not 100 percent sold, but Anderson has caught my eye a couple of times this year.. Encouraging to hear someone really close to the situation thinks he might be really good.
Anderson won a scout team award following the 2011 season.

Description of Shaw is real interesting: "Shaw is as cool as a cucumber. Polished, calm, introspective. He's cerebral and I think we all appreciate that. ... Mess up under Shaw... he'll look at you, dismiss you, and come up with the punishment that will hurt you deep down inside."

character and cruelty...
also:
Quote:What was the dirtiest team you ever played against? And what is the dirtiest team you've heard players from other teams talk about?
1 & 2) ND... last year one of their linebackers gouged my eye and scratched my cornea. Haven't heard much talk on the subject.

Some great responses.
-On that multiple-shift play in the Orange Bowl: "the play was called 'montage' ... it was a tribute to all of our motions and shifts we ran throughout the year. Bud Foster did not look very pleased"
-On whether Stanford has Mabry's permission to play dirty against Notre Dame next year: "No, no, no... we don't want to be that team. The best thing to do is physically dominate them the whole game. nothing feels worse for an opponent"
