Looking for a pair of tickets to the Stanford Alumni Tailgater - jasoswald - 12-23-2012

Hi fellow Cards - I am wanting to give my HS sophomore daughter the true Stanford football game experience by attending the Stanford Alumni Tailgater - anybody have or know anyone who has a couple of tailgater tickets?  Please lemme know.  Jasoswald@aol.com  Many thanks.  Jim Oswald '82

I'm probably doing both Toby the Van's tailgate as well as the official 'gater.  Silly, I know, but they both have their upsides.

Only the food part was a disaster--seeing familiar faces and such was successful.  It's a shame that I couldn't have also seen friends who were not attending the tailgate...3 hrs is really not that long if you take a break between the end of the Rose Parade (which ended at 10:20ish AM for us) and 1:30PM.  It's kind of a hike to the stadium as well.

What was cool on my hike was cheering the team buses as they came down the road behind a CHP motorcycle escort.  Some guys were in their zone with headphones, and others were taking it all in, filming out the window with their smartphones.

I really enjoyed the alumni tailgater.

I also enjoyed it. I think the experience was entirely dependent on when you got in. Me and my friends arrived at opening time, more-or-less, and loved it.
