This is pretty unfortunate timing for B.ear fans. I heard it on the KCBS radio sports segment this AM in the car. It wasn't announced simply as Pete Elliott's death. It came across as this:
"Just three days after David Shaw led Stanford to the Rose Bowl title, the last coach to take C.al to the Rose Bowl, Pete Elliott, has passed away."
