A multitude of interviews/podcasts - washingtonismoney - 01-05-2013

Here's Shaw on the Scott van Pelt show: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=8806815 (earlyish...interview ends around 16 minutes, for context.)

Shaw on Yahoo! sports radio: http://www.yahoosportsradio.com/college-fb-audio-archives/david-shaw-rosey-season-41096/

Chase Thomas on ATL-area radio: http://www.790thezone.com/podcasts/Episodes.aspx?PID=2610

Ertz: http://www.foxsportsradio.com/player/?station=FSR-PR&program_name=podcast&program_id=loose_cannons_interviews.xml&mid=22746780

(Ertz will decide by Monday.)

Here's a nice pair of interviews on one of the NFL.com podcasts. Apparently the dad of one of the workers is a longtime season ticket holder, so they interview him, and he's fun. Then a short interlude in which one of the podcasters -- who I guess is NFL.com's draft guru -- raves about Stanford's talent both young (loves Alex Carter, which duh) and old (usual suspects). And, finally, Stepfan Taylor. Starts around 39:00 IIRC: http://www.nfl.com/podcast/nfl-draft-tracker-podcast/1357332121000/detail

Shaw and John Madden have a conversation. Very good. Seems Shaw is infatuated with Marcus Mariota. Would guess Shaw will be emphasizing athleticism in future QB recruits (Burns is pretty athletic, actually): http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/?podcast_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.podtrac.com%2Fpts%2Fredirect.mp3%2Fnyc.podcast.play.it%2Fmedia%2Fd0%2Fd0%2Fd1%2Fd1%2FdX%2Fd0%2Fd4%2F11X04_3.MP3&podcast_name=Daily+Madden&podcast_artist=John+Madden&station_id=97&audio_link=true&config_file=config.xml&dcid=CBS.SF

Just listened to the interview with Chase by the guys in Atlanta and nearly laughed out loud at the end.  Is it my imagination, or did one of the interviewers sound like he was about to blow his top when Chase said the SEC hasn't really produced any good QBs lately?  Its a bit subtle, but the interviewer set up the question with "Well, the SEC is the king, nobody can dispute that, but do you think some conferences are catching up?"  Didn't get quite the obsequious response he expected.  I think he really had to struggle to choke out "Well, thanks for your time."

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I hope we face an SEC team next year and smack hell out of them.
