"Kokenis has been playing most of the season with an illness and has been adjusting as the year wears on.

"I think she's as healthy as she's going to be this year," VanDerveer said. "She was getting sick and when she isn't feeling well she pulls herself out. It's day by day how she feels. I think she's not as aggressive offensively but she's working pretty hard defensively."

Since she hasn't seemed to be favoring an injured limb, I wonder if it could be Lyme disease (a la Elena Delle Donne).

This is worrisome.  I certainly hope for Toni's sake that it is not a chronic disease of some sort, and hope she has a speedy recovery.

That explains her time on the bench in some games.  I'm sorry to hear this, and wish her a speedy recovery.  I would hesitate to speculate what it might be, as it could be anything from something as mild as mono to much more serious illnesses.
