Opponent Potential Attrition: Post-Kelly Edition - Bruce Wang - 01-25-2013

Appears that Urban Meyer (who is particularly adept at poaching) is targeting Oregon.  It's a good thing for Stanford that they don't play school at my other alma mater, so we've got nothing to worry about vis a vis Urban.

last year Meyer raided Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, and maybe Pitt if my memory is correct.

Has Oregon actually had any decommits yet? I heard that they had some guys "open up", but people weren't very surprised by it. They'll probably still have a good class, even if they get a defector or two.

Regardless, this was one of the worries of Duck fans with Chip bolting, we'll see if anything comes of it.

I don't think many of the top remaining guys are considering Oregon. They did a really poor job of recruiting this year. Didn't offer Devon Allen until this past week and it was obvious the entire time they were going to have room to give him a scholarship - a dick move IMO. If they were to lose these 4 guys it would destroy their class. I just don't see them getting many of the top remaining guys. They only have 13 in the class at the moment: http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=9&c=8&yr=2013

Young_money, do you get a sense of what Devon Allen's priorities are?  Will Oregon get him?  He did not apply to Stanford until late December/early January, that seems very late.

well he just announced for Oregon, but we'll probably never know if he got in or not. He was supposed to have an in-home visit last night and probably find out so hard to say...

Who was supposed to visit him?
